Lapan pakar perunding perubatan dari Ch1na tiba di Malaysia tengahari tadi untuk membantu menangani wabak Covid-19 yang kini mencecah 86 kes pemergian. Menerusi laman Facebook Ch1na Embassy in Malaysia, Duta Besar Ch1na di Malaysia iaitu Bai Tian berkata kedatangan pasukan dalam pelbagai bidang perubatan itu sekali lagi melambangkan persahabatan yang hebat antara Malaysia dan Ch1na. Menurut beliau, kerajaan Malaysia telah banyak membantu dan memberikan sokongan kepada Ch1na dalam memerangi wabak tersebut bagi memastikan rantaian Covid-19 dapat diputuskan.
18 April – At the invitation of the Government of Malaysia, the medical consultant expert team sent by the Government of Ch1na has arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) this noon where they’re welcomed by Ch1na’s Ambassador to Malaysia H.E. Bai Tian and representatives of Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (MoH), among others.
Ambassador Bai Tian said that the arrival of this team has once again symbolized the great friendship between Malaysia and Ch1na, just like the saying “a friend in need is a friend indeed”. Since the outbreak of #COVID19, Malaysian government and various entities have provided support to Ch1na in combating the pandemic. Virus knows no borders, making this a common battle for all humankind. We need to be united to combat the virus effectively. The COVID-19 situation in Ch1na is now under control. Ch1na has since provided support to countries all over the world, including Malaysia by sharing their experiences, providing supplies and other assistance.
His Excellency added: “The expert team is organized by the National Health Commission of Ch1na, and made up of 8 individuals selected by the health commission of Guangdong Province. They are specialized in different fields such as respiratory, intensive care, psychiatry, infectious diseases, data analysis, virology and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Some of them had joined the fight against COVID-19 in Hubei Province. The team will be in Malaysia for tentatively two weeks, during which they will also make a trip to East Malaysia to share their expertise. MoH Malaysia and medical staff from all over Malaysia are set to benefit through these exchanges. We have full confidence in Malaysia ’s fight against COVID-19 and we hope Malaysia will win the fight very soon.
Dr. Li Jun, who heads the team, said that: “I feel very touched by Malaysia’s warm welcome. We’ve come here in spirit of Ch1na’s h0spitality towards Malaysia. We will make full use of our time in Malaysia and do what we can to assist Malaysia in fighting COVID-19 together”.
Pasukan itu diketuai Ketua Pakar Perubatan merangkap Naib Presiden h0spital Wilayah Guangdong Perubatan Tradisional Cina, Dr Li Jun; Pakar Perubatan Bersekutu Unit r@watan Rapi (ICU) h0spital Rakyat Wilayah Guangdong, Dr Wen Miaoyun. Selain itu, Prof Kejurur@watan merangkap Pengarah Jabatan Kawalan Jangkitan Nosokomial, h0spital Rakyat Wilayah Guangdong, Dr Zhang Youping; Ketua Doktor Pusat Wilayah Guangdong Kawalan Penyakit dan Pencegahan, Dr Liu Tao serta Ketua Juruteknik Bersekutu Virologi, Dr Sun Jiufeng juga akan turut serta. Tiga pakar lagi ialah dari h0spital Rakyat Wilayah Guangdong iaitu Ketua Doktor Bersekutu Jabatan Perubatan Kritikal dan Penafasan, Dr Yang Shifang; Ketua Doktor Bersekutu Jabatan Jangkitan, Dr Luo Xiaodan dan Pakar Psikologi, Dr Liu Xiangxin.
